1.06 – REGISTRATION AT THE STAGE OPEN – TRANSGENDER ATHLETES POLICY

CrossFit transgender athletes’ policy applies to all athletes who are allowed to participate in any events and launches within the framework of CrossFit Games including the Open category. See section 6.

1.07 – REGISTRATION ON STAGE OPEN – SELECTION OF COUNTRY

In the registration process, athletes are required to provide all the necessary information in order to determine their affiliation to a particular country in which the Open stage will be held. Athletes will continue to be listed in the lists assigned to the country during the entire competitive season before the Games stage.

Requirements based on which the athlete’s affiliation to a particular country of the competition is determined should be based on the athlete’s citizenship data at the time of completion of the first set of the Open stage. For the vast majority of athletes, the country of performance will coincide with the country where they live, work, and train regularly.

Any country in which there is at least one licensed active CrossFit club that does not have a debt to CrossFit Inc. at the time of completion of the first set of the Open stage, it will be possible to send a qualified athlete to the Games stage.

Athletes do not have to live in a country whose citizenship they use during registration. As long as the athlete is a citizen of a country in which there is at least one licensed active CrossFit club that does not have a debt to CrossFit Inc., this athlete has the opportunity to register and represent the country mentioned above.

1.08 – REGISTRATION AT THE STAGE OPEN – SELECTION OF COUNTRY – EXAMPLES OF NON-STANDARD SITUATIONS

For some athletes, choosing a country will not be as easy as for others. In the examples below, some non-standard options are presented that an athlete may encounter when choosing a country.

    • Military personnel

(service in the regular troops and reservists of all arms of service) in the field of the country must write the country of their citizenship. The servicemen will stand for this country of citizenship regardless of which country they are temporarily assigned for military service (temporary assignment/secondment) and/or the country of deployment of their military unit.

    • Athletes with dual citizenship

Will be able to choose which of the countries they want to represent during the whole season. Athletes can compete for only one country.

    • Athletes who are in the process of obtaining new citizenship / redefining the conditions of the old

They will play for the country in which they are citizens at the end of the first week of the Open stage. Athletes who will receive new citizenship after the first week of the Open stage is over will not be able to change the country of citizenship and will stand for the country under the flag of which they were initially registered.

Errors in choosing a country can lead to disqualification of the athlete. If you have any questions related to the choice of a country, please contact [email protected] BEFORE FINISHING the registration stage

The top five male and female athletes from each eligible country may also be required to send a video to validate the results.

The best forty male and female athletes from the CrossFit Games worldwide rating table may be required to submit a video for approval of results during the Open phase.

* Those athletes who were not able to take such high places during the qualifying round may also be instructed to send a video, provided that they have passed the selection to the Games stage. If an athlete is not able to provide video recordings as required, this may result in the cancellation of the result within the complex (s) for which the video is requested.

Representatives of CrossFit Inc. may request additional videos from any athlete at any time during the Open phase.

The request for video will be submitted on March 28, 2019, at 17:00 (Pacific Time). Teens in the age group of 16-17 years, as well as athletes in the master’s category (35-54 years), are qualified to participate in the Games stage, provided that they finish in the list of the best in their country or are among the top 20 athletes in the world individually. standings. The CrossFit Games staff will send a notification to the Champions of the Countries requesting the provision of such supporting information. Country Champions will be sent additional information via e-mail.

2.04 – PROCEDURE OF QUALIFICATION ONLINE SELECTION BY THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE AGE GROUP – POINTS ACCEPTANCE FORMAT

At the time of the beginning of the qualification online selection, all ranks will be canceled, all athletes will begin the selection with the same rank. Athletes who qualify by age group will be awarded points based on the results of online qualifying selection in order to determine their final rank before the onset of the Games phase. If an athlete cannot, for whatever reason, present his result (by points) as part of performing one or another complex in the course of an online qualification selection procedure, such an athlete will receive “0” points for performing this complex.

If athletes receive an equal number of points in the rating table of the qualifying online selection stage, then the best of them will be recognized as the one who will receive the highest result in one particular set of qualifying online selection. If any athletes continue to have the same rating after the division procedure based on the results of the complex for the first time, the procedure is repeated on the basis of the highest results in other complexes, etc. Individual results of athletes at the Open stage CANNOT BE used as a method for dividing equal results in the general rating table of qualifying online selection. Equal results will not be broken for each individual event. Several athletes may perform with the same result, and each of them will receive the initial number of points.

2.06 – PROCEDURE OF QUALIFICATION ONLINE SELECTION BY SIGNIFICATIONS OF THE AGE GROUP – SENDING INVITATIONS

The rating table by age groups will be compiled only after the process of analyzing video recordings is completed. Starting from 17:00 (Pacific Time) on May 23, 2019, the top 10 male and female athletes in each age group (including adolescents) will be eligible

The qualification process for athletes selected by the age group will be completed at 5:00 pm (Pacific time) on June 5, 2019.

STAGE SANCTIONALS

3.01 – STAGE SANCTIONALS

CrossFit Inc has authorized and licensed some competitive events held independently from other stages. Such events are called “Sanctionals,” (Authorized), funding for such events and control over their implementation falls on their bodies responsible for the organization and management of such events.

When conducting sporting events as part of the Sanctionals stages, the management bodies of such stages independently develop reference complexes and a scoring system for such events. Sending invitations or qualifying requirements for the selection of events for the Sanctionals stage is at the discretion of the relevant governing bodies conducting such events.

Sanctionals events are not part of the CrossFit Games season, however, the winners of the Sanctionals stages (which showed results comparable to the Elite group or the group where the task of the complex was appropriately scaled) will also be invited to participate in the Games stage. As a result of any Sanctionals event, one man, one woman, and one team * will qualify for the Games stage. If the winner of one Sanctionals event gets the opportunity to select the Games stage in some other way, then the athlete who placed second in the same Sanctionals event will receive an invitation to the Games stage. This procedure will also be repeated if the winner in three places also gets the opportunity to participate in the Games stage in a different way, so the procedure will be repeated the necessary number of times.

In 2019, athletes will be able to participate in 15 different events of the Sanctionals stage around the world. A list of 15 activities under the Sanctionals phase is presented below.

The participation of any team member in the Open stage is not required.

3.03 – STAGE SANCTIONALS – AWARDS AND PRIZES

The procedure for analyzing videos of individual athletes who completed the Open stage in first place in their country should be completed no later than 17:00 (Pacific time) on April 29, 2019. The rating table with the final data with the results of individual athletes in the Open stage will be completed and It is presented to the public only after the end of the aforementioned video analysis period. He will not put in place the absent winner of the athlete who has completed all the complexes of the Open stage as prescribed by the rules and has shown the result closest to the champion.

4.03 – THE STAGE OF THE GAMES – PROCEDURE OF QUALIFICATION SELECTION FROM THE STAGE THE OPEN – THE BEST 20 ATHLETES OF THE PLANET

The procedure for analyzing videos of individual athletes who, according to the results of the Open stage, were among the top 20 athletes worldwide, should be completed no later than 17:00 (Pacific time) on April 29, 2019. The rating table with the final data with the results of individual athletes at the stage Open will be filled out and presented to the public only after the end of the above-mentioned video analysis period. After the rating table is filled, representatives of CrossFit Inc. send individual athletes to notice that they have passed the selection process for participation in the Games stage. If an athlete, who was ranked among the top 20 athletes in the world based on his result, is the Champion of the Country, then CrossFit Inc. will replace him in the list of the best 20 athletes in the world with an athlete who showed the closest result. If the athlete refuses to participate in the Games stage or is a member of the team that received an invitation to participate in the competition, CrossFit Inc will replace him on the list with an athlete who has shown the closest result.

In the event that an athlete from the list of the top 20 receives an invitation to participate in the Games stage as a result of winning the event at the Sanctionals stage, CrossFit Inc. will not replace his place in the list of the world’s top 20 athletes with another athlete.

4.04 – THE STAGE OF THE GAMES – SENDING INVITATIONS AT THE STAGE OF SANCTIONALS

In 2019, athletes will be able to take part in 15 different Sanctionals events based on the results of which the best male and female athletes as well as the best teams * (from the Elite group or from the group where the task of the complex will be appropriately scaled) can be invited to participate in Games stage.

The procedure for determining substitutes also takes into account the chronological order in which the events of the Sanctionals stage take place. For example, if an athlete wins at several stages of Sanctionals, CrossFit Inc. put in the place of such an athlete, the one who took second place at the second event of the Sanctionals stage, and not the first.

The teams will have at their disposal seven days in order to finally determine the compositions and communicate this data to the organizers. After seven days changes in the composition of the teams are not allowed.

The team, which should consist of 6 people, must be represented by four (4) athletes who performed at the Sanctionals event for one team, plus two (2) replacement athletes (one man and one woman). If an athlete is listed as part of one team, then he cannot play for another team.

If a member of a team also wins the right to participate in the Games stage as an individual athlete and decides that he will compete in the individual competition, the team must use a substitute to play in full composition.
